ROE annual yearbook cover art contest
All seniors at ROE are invited to participate in the fun contest each Fall.
Our Head of School chooses the theme of the year from a short list proposed by our Yearbook Artistic Director. (Exception: Class 2020 chose the theme of the year through votes.)
Students are given about a month of time to turn in their submissions.
Our Art teacher and classroom teachers provide tremendous guidance and encouragement through the course.
All submissions are independently and anonymously scored by a panel of judges, including our Yearbook Artistic Director, Art teacher, Head of School, volunteer faculty, staff, and at least one Kindergartener.
To prevent bias, artworks are also coded and presented to each of our judges at a random order.
One artwork with the highest overall score is featured on our yearbook front cover, and 12 runner ups are displayed on the back cover.
We are extremely grateful to our participants and are thrilled to see the master pieces. Thank you to your support!
